SAN JOSE, Calif. — San Jose authorities are still seeking to determine the suspect in a shooting that killed two men at a house party over the weekend.
Police identified the victims on Monday to be 31-year-old Joseph Darrell Ledbetter and 30-year-old Antonio Raymond Velasco.
The men were shot with a pistol near 5 a.m. Saturday while in the garage area of a house where neighbors tell the San Jose Mercury News Velasco lived. Numerous men had apparently gathered there for a celebration.
A 17-year-old boy was also shot and injured. Sgt. Jason Dwyer says the boy was later booked on suspicion of violating probation. The gunman escaped on foot.
Police have not yet released a sketch of the suspect nor provided a reasonable motive for the shooting.
